Hi Heyboss Team,

I’m developing a rostering app using Heyboss and would like to integrate it with my booking and management system built on Bubble. I have a few questions regarding API access and data communication:

  1. API Access & Authentication

    • Does Heyboss provide an API for external integrations?

    • If so, what authentication method does it use (API key, OAuth, token-based authentication)?

    • How can I store and refresh authentication tokens securely?

  2. Data Endpoints & Webhooks

    • Can I retrieve and update employee rosters via API?

    • Are there API endpoints for managing shifts, staff availability, and time-off requests?

    • Does Heyboss support webhooks to send real-time updates when a shift is created, modified, or deleted?

    • If webhooks are available, how do I subscribe to them?

  3. Data Structure & Integration

    • What data format does the API use (JSON, XML, etc.)?

    • Can I link employees in Heyboss with my existing user database in Bubble using unique identifiers?

    • Are there rate limits on API requests?

  4. Permissions & Role-Based Access

    • Can I control which data different users (managers, employees) can access via API?

    • Are there restrictions on writing/updating shift data from an external system?

  5. Future Compatibility

    • Does Heyboss plan to expand its API capabilities in the future?

    • Where can I find API documentation or sandbox environments for testing?

    Apologies for the late response.

    Currently, Heyboss does not provide an API for external integrations. It has a login feature, but there is no clear distinction of permissions within the AI-written applications. You can request the AI to use the login data for some permission management. The AI should be able to integrate with our database to handle permission issues in applications after login. Data endpoints are under development and will be implemented in the coming weeks. Regarding the question about "linking employees in Heyboss with my existing user database in Bubble using unique identifiers," we are working on a feature that allows users to export code to platforms like GitHub for custom modifications and development. This could potentially allow the integration of the customized Bubble database.
